F A B U L O U S !

that's the only way to describe the Exhibition so far.

The Private View was a resounding success. After days of rain we had a lovely dry (!) summer evening and more than 200 people arrived to view the wonderful Artwork on display, enjoy a glass of wine and the scrumptious chocolate fountain . The Gallery looked stunning, everyone had worked so hard to make it look summery & welcoming with palm trees, flowers & butterflies. Bunting (made from recycled plastic bags by our very own artist Imogen!) and cheerful flowers adorned the door and the sounds of Flamenco guitar (played beautifully by Dave Lornie) greeted everyone as they arrived. The Exhibition was officially opened by actor Dean Sullivan (Brookside's Jimmy Corkhill) and because it's Summer in the City we invited the Southport Swords Morris Dancers to come and entertain us - and that's just what they did - lots of fun and laughter! There was also a free raffle with an array of excellent prizes donated by local businesses Thank You!

It was, as we'd hoped, a joyous evening, welcoming, friendly, upbeat, relaxing.

NOW THE WORKSHOPS HAVE STARTED AND WE'D LOVE YOU TO COME AND JOIN US!

We've had a great reponse to the workshops so far, 'Drama'  'Jewellery from Junk' & 'Pottery'. People have really enjoyed them, Thursday 23rd July it's Creative Writing  & Friday 24th Treat Yourself Well day so we'd love to see you there!
